On June 27, 2005, the City Council gave the green light for the South Lake Union streetcar authorizing the funding plan to pay for capital costs and operations and maintenance expenses.
This is a monumental win for the project, and a true team effort by all involved including our City Council Members. Please take a moment to thank your Council Members for their continued leadership on this project. They deserve our appreciation.
We look forward to working with other neighborhoods seeking a streetcar extension in their communities. Thank you again for all of your support and interest in the Seattle Streetcar.
